Happy Birthday to D’Evan and Uncle Evan on Saturday!

General

  • Try-outs for “Bye Bye Birdie” will be Thursday Jan. 24th 3:30-5. Scripts and audition forms are on the piano in the aud. If you’re a guy who plays both Varsity SB and B-ball, plan to come at 3:10. See posters for more details.
  • Singers- we’ll be watching “hairspray” the musical 7-9 pm tonight in the aud. Rated PG. Anyone welcome. Bring your own munchies and bug spray.
  • Today is the last day of auditions for Chamber Choir!  Sign up on the bulletin board–Mr. Sappington.
  • Team Handball kicks off tonight with all of the guys teams playing and Girls 1 vs Girls 2.  The action begins at 7:00 so make sure you come and support your brother and sister teams.  Earn points for your team by coming to the games and sporting your team colors!  Any questions please see Mr. Mac
  • Any Team Handball captains who have yet to meet w/their team need to do so before the game Saturday.  Also, if you have not picked up a set of rules you need to get them from me at lunch today.  - Mr. Mac
  • New students and staff need to take yearbook pictures Tuesday (15th) in the shelter during lunch. Dress appropriately, no white, collared shirts preferred.
  • If you won a MS/HS superlative, we will be taking pictures anytime between today and next week. We will inform you before if we need you to dress a certain way. Thanks, Journalism class.
  • NHS officers, class officers, and student senate officers also need to have pictures taken during lunch Thursday 17th.
  • Outreach Practice on Sunday from 3-5 in the Auditorium.
  • Drama team we have practice on top of the sand castle Mon. and Tues. night from 6:45 to 8.
  • Correction: DA JV Gold softball practice on Fri. at 4:45 is on the PP court, not on the field.
  • Any students who still need a permission slip for going on the outreach weekend can get one from Aunt Faith.
  • Laminating will be done on Friday.
  • Worship Teams: we’ll have a meeting for all teams at lunch on Monday to get organized. New people are welcome.
  • ATTN: Olympic Day is only 3 weeks away! All those interested in training for Olympic Days and for being a part of the track club, meet after school Friday at 3:30 pm. By the weights. Questions? Ask Aunt Leigh T.

Sports

  • Intermediate volleyball is on Tuesday at 3:30
  • Varsity softball practice today at 3:30.
  • Girls Varsity soccer practice is at 4:45-6 on the field today, NOT 3:30.
  • ALL softball games have been cancelled for Saturday.  They are tentatively being rescheduled for after WAIST.
  • Due to the cancellation of softball games at Ebbetts, DA JV Gold and DA JV Blue will have a scrimmage here at DA this Sat. at a time to be announced later. Spectators welcome!
  • Boys handball team 6, please come early Sat. night to go over rules. Check schedule for the game times.
  • Boys Handball Team 1 needs to meet on the blue top during lunch.
  • Boys handball Team 2 needs to meet in the shelter during lunch today.
  • Varsity softball practice today at 3:30.
