Jan Finck

Jan and her husband, Vern, have been involved with DA since 1986, when they unpacked their first crate in the DA parking lot before moving to Kaolack. They have taken turns being on the DA Board over those years.  In addition, Vern has acted as the architect and supervisor of many of the buildings on campus. Jan has filled the roles of teacher, sponsor, and parent. The three Finck children graduated from DA (Dary -2000, Rashae - 2002, and Lani – 2007). At this time, Jan is fulfilling the role of Board Chair.

Charley Campbell

Charley teaches Old Testament at the Evangelical Theological Institute of Senegal (ITES) and is also in charge of the school’s library and finding good books in French. He and his wife Sherry ministered at a Bible school in northern Cote d’Ivoire before coming to Senegal. They have two children at DA:  Erica, an 8th grader, and Brian, a 5th grader.]

Laura Davis

Laura has been in Senegal since 1997 and has served on the DA Board for 5 years.  She, Bryan and their 6 year-old twins, Téa and Ethan, are currently living in Saint-Louis.  Their primary focus is church planting.

Tad Hampton

Tad, along with his wife, Jane, serves in Dakar with United World Mission.  He participates in ministries related to leadership training and urban church planting, as well as team administration. Tad and Jane’s daughters Anna and Allison graduated from DA in 2002 and 2005, respectively.  Son Jonathan is in 7th grade this year.  The Hamptons came to Senegal in 1993 and Tad has served on the DA Board since then, not counting several furlough years.  He is currently the non-titled member of its Executive Committee.

Chad Reynolds

Chad was born and raised in northeastern Oklahoma. After graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University, he joined the International Mission Board (Southern Baptist Mission) as their financial manager first in Conakry, Guinea and then in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire where he met Crystal, the beautiful Texas belle who would become his wife. After a hiatus to establish a family and continue education at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Chad returned to West Africa to serve Southern Baptists on the Financial Facilitation Team in Dakar. Chad and Crystal have two boys – Chase (3) and Caleb (1).

Jennifer Bowers

Jennifer Bowers has served on the D.A School Board on and off since 2001. She is the mother of a D.A. grad ('03) & staff member, and three children in the dorms. She also taught at D.A. part-time for one year, so she has experience of the school from multiple perspectives.

Jennifer and husband Jim have served with United World Mission in MALI since 1984, where they are church-planters among the Fulani. For their first twelve years of service, they worked among the Malinké. Jennifer speaks Bambara fluently but has barely made a dent in Pulaar

Lisa Seaward

Lisa is a WorldVenture missionary to Mali, along with her husband, Tom, and children Hilary, Ben and Caleb.  Hilary hopes to graduate in 2010 from DA; Ben in 2014 and Caleb in 2018.  For now, Lisa teaches Ben and Caleb at home.  The Sewards are involved in church growth ministries including outreach and technical support for radio, literacy and Christian education.  Lisa personally enjoys reading, traveling, cooking (and eating!) and games
