-
Update your
Activities Resume
– it will be helpful when you start filling out college applications.
-
Retake the
SAT/ACT
in the fall IF you are willing to put in some prep time (re-taking does
not raise scores unless you study).
-
Apply as early as possible
– many applications are now available online. You will greatly relieve
your stress level if you try to have all your applications done by
November 1.
-
Decide on which
teachers/staff you will ask for
Letters of Recommendation. Do not wait until the last minute to ask
if you want a well-written, thoughtful recommendation.
-
Complete a
Transcript Request Form and give it to Mrs. Aisenbrey in order to
obtain official transcripts to accompany your application.
-
Ask Miss Austin or Mrs.
Aisenbrey to proofread your application essay before you send it.
-
Keep your grades up –
colleges always reserve the right to withdraw offers of admission or
scholarships if grades drop significantly.
-
Please let Mrs. Aisenbrey
know when you are accepted to college or receive any scholarships – your
info will be posted on the
College
Acceptance page.
