Dakar Academy has been
granted the right to administer CLEP computer-based tests, starting in
January 2006.
$55 per test plus $15
administration fee per testing date. Registration may be made by paying in
the Business Office and presenting the receipt to Mrs. Aisenbrey. She will
have a registration form for you to fill out. Non-DA students must present
a dollar check made out to Dakar Academy.
The tests will be
administered Saturday, January 14, 2006 and Saturday, May 27, 2006 in the
DA computer lab. Testing begins at 9 a.m. with additional tests at 10 a.m.
and 11 a.m. as needed. Students may take up to 3 tests per test session.
*Only 9 students may test at a time, so register early to ensure getting a
space. Registration deadlines: December 16, 2005 for the January test, May
19, 2006 for the May test.
Scores are received
automatically and printed out in the computer lab and are submitted
electronically to the school indicated during registration. The CLEP
program keeps scores for 20 years. Additional score reports cost $20.
Tere are study guides
available for each subject. A general CLEP Official Study Guide is on
display in the DA library, and Mrs. Aisenbrey has study guides for the
following subjects in her office: Natural Sciences, Biology, American
Literature, American Government and Introductory Sociology. Sample
questions for all tests are available at www.collegeboard.com. —Debbie Aisenbrey, Guidance Counselor
