Lower Boarding Home

The Lower Boarding Home is family to Michael and Amy Gilbert and 18 middle and high school boys. When 6 pm hits, family style meals with over a dozen house brothers means eat or be eaten, but these boys will attest to the delicious and filling meals they receive each day. A spacious living room and hang out area features cushy couches, ping pong, foosball, and flatscreen TV. Just out the back steps is a lush, green soccer field, weights area, “petits poteaux” court (think soccer in a hockey ring), and basketball court. At 8 pm, there’s no shortage of space to sleep, study or chill. Oh, and if you’re looking for caffeine but can’t find a Starbucks? No Problem. This boarding home has a built-in coffee nook just inside the front door.
